History of Henna:
The plant was originally used by the Ancient Egyptians (around 1200 bc). It was later given as a gift to India, the first records show that the wife of Emperor Shah Johan. Mumtaz Mahal had her body greatly decorated in henna; she was also the lady for whom the Taj Mahal was built. Henna is now used greatly for Indian wedding ceremonies, decorating mostly the hands and feet in an intricate lace of patterns. This wondrous decoration is also used in Africa and the middle east, The henna fad really hit the west when Madonna showed, her hands decorated in these designs in the 1998 Frozen video. Henna then became greatly used by many top models and pop stars, now becoming a very popular form of body art.

Henna can be paid at a set hourly rate by the host or alternatively guests can arrange to pay for there own individual designs (minimum amount required). Also ideal for public parties, night clubs and functions.
